I think it was beginner's luck that I found a driving instructor so professional and encouraging. I always looked forward to my lessons with Abbie and found myself feeling more and more confident at the end of every lesson. Abbie is a brilliant teacher and I would recommend her to anyone who is wishing to start lessons or continue learning to drive. If I ever got nervous or worried about driving Abbie's positivity would always pick me back up and would allow me to believe in myself that I COULD do it! Abbie instructs brilliantly and teaches in easy step-by-step lessons which allows everything you've learnt to stay fresh in your mind for the next lesson. She helped me to perfect all parts of driving which lead me to passing my driving test with only two minor faults! If all instructors were like Abbie the roads would be full of safe, confident drivers. I honestly couldn't fault her. Thank you!

I booked my test and to be honest it was a bit intimidating, but Abbie assured me that I could do it. And I did - first time!
Abbie is assertive that safety is paramount in driving, however she doesn't make it all 'doom and highway code gloom', but she also makes it clear that driving can be enjoyed too!

"I'd had a few driving instructors that weren't the best but then went on the Internet to book an intensive one week crash course with Learner Driving Centres and found Abbie! From the first phone call this instructor gave me an excellent vibe for dedication and motivation which is what you need in my case as I only had a month until my theory test ran out! After explaining to Abbie the previous driving experience I had undertaken, we worked with this to help iron out bad habits (she will not teach you any as a beginner driver unlike other instructors).
As it was I passed first time after a one week intensive course! Abbie isn't just an instructor she is dedicated to her job and not only wants to teach you skills for your test but for life. I could not fault her training methods and I could tell she got a buzz from not only teaching people but obviously training them to pass their test. Since passing I cannot stop telling people about her when people mention driving lessons. She is an amazing driving instructor and has excellent qualities about her personality. I could not recommend this person as a driving instructor enough, all I can say is thank you ever so much Abbie and everyone book with her whilst you can!"

"Having never so much as sat in the driver's seat before, I was really nervous about learning to drive so thought I'd throw myself in at the deep end! I had a block of free time so decided to book a 2-week semi intensive course with Abbie using the LD System. For me, the daily lessons were the ideal way to learn as it meant that you could fit a lot of tuition in without having to spend a lot of time recapping what I'd learnt in the previous lesson. Lasting about 2 or 3 hours, the lessons weren't so long that I got tired or frustrated but were long enough so I felt I'd progressed a lot at the end of each day. I'd never heard of the LD System before but was attracted by the value for money and the amount of support it seemed to provide, which turned out to be brilliant. The DVD and book cover the same things but it's helpful to have 2 ways of explaining things like manoeuvres. The DVD and book are split into easy sections (road skills, traffic skills) so you can use it as much or as little as you want. Abbie was really helpful with going over stuff from the book/DVD that I had questions about without making me feel like it was homework that must be done! Alongside Abbie's lessons I practised privately at home which really helped me put into practice what I'd learnt and build up my confidence a bit for the test, which I passed on the 4th November 2010. Abbie was the friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, encouraging and funny instructor that everyone would hope for and I would definitely recommend her to anybody wanting to learn to drive".

Enthusiasm and the ability to instil confidence; patience and a calm nature; the ability to get along with all kinds of people plus having good communication and teaching skills. These are traits that I think a good driving instructor should have and Abbie has them in abundance.
She's great at analysing you as a driver and assessing which areas you need to improve on. Another thing that is great about her techniques is that she associates the theoretical knowledge that you require within her lessons, therefore you are able to understand the theory side of driving more clearly as you are putting it into practice.
To put it simply she's everything you want in a driving instructor.

I still can't believe I've passed! I started my lessons with you as a last chance! I had been learning to drive off and on for over 8 years, I have had 5 other instructors and I hate to think how many lessons and how much money I have spent. Your teaching style was perfect for me, I would describe you as open and honest and words can't say how supportive you have been, especially when I almost threw in the towel. Your straight talking, easy to understand and 'you can do it' attitude was just what I needed. I wish I had met you years ago you took me through the lessons and test in 3 months from first contact to test passed. You have a wicked sense of humour and made my lessons fun not torture.
